IMPACT Running Club has a team for the 50th Annual Walpole Labor Day Road Race! This is a road race that starts and finished at Walpole High School, so no fun trails or pink ribbons to find, but it is a great race. When will I get my Running Club shirt? – The t-shirt press is up and running.  If you haven’t picked up your shirts at IMPACT yet, they’re mostly there at the front desk.  If your shirt isn’t done, than it was on back order and should be ready for race day.

The rest of this email is mostly retread information from an email you should have received from the race on Sunday with a few IMPACT Specific pieces of information for you.

Pre-Race Bib Pickup and Registration – Help streamline race day and avoid lines by picking up bibs and registering in advance at The Run House (15 West Street, Walpole):
IMPACT Specifics: It’s highly recommended that you do this ahead of time.  Also, the people at the Run House are great and they’re offering a discount (more about that below) to everyone that signed up. BUT, no new shoes before the race!  There isn’t enough time between then and the race to break in a new pair of shoes.  Get your new shoes and use them for future running club events.

Bib Pickup 1: Saturday 9/2, 11am-5pm @ The Run House
Bib Pickup 2: Sunday 9/3, 11am-5pm @ The Run House

20% Discount at The Run House – Show your Walpole Road Race bib at The Run House for a 20% discount from Saturday 9/2 – Friday 9/8!
IMPACT Specifics: Told you there was a discount.

Arrive Race Day by 8:30am – Don’t be late due to street closures and parking! The event begins at 8:50am and by that time many surrounding streets are already closed.
IMPACT Specifics: Mr. Lynch is going to setup the creepy van in the same spot as the parade, right in front of Plimpton School, for all of us to meet up pre and post race.

Parking – Parking will be tight, so arrive early (map below).
IMPACT Specifics: The high school lot will fill up first.

Walpole Community Food Pantry Donations – We are collecting donations of paper towels and toilet paper. These items are in high demand, so please help by bringing donations to the Walpole Community Food Pantry van at Registration.
IMPACT Specifics: The IMPACT community is always very generous whenever called upon, we’d love to see that here as well.

We still need volunteers! Please help us by signing up in advance HERE.
IMPACT Specifics: We’re all running the race, which would make volunteering pretty difficult.  But, if you happen to know someone looking for something to do, please point them in the right direction.
